Get a detailed, practice-proven cleaning procedure for the operation at hand. MIRACLE sets out the method, timing, medium, temperature, cleaner and operational remarks for the tanks involved.

Developed through decades of operation

MIRACLE procedures have been developed and refined in tanker operations since the early 2000s. They combine that practical experience with CTC Chemtec Chemicals' specialist knowledge of cleaner selection and dosage.

The future of tank-cleaning verification

UV Analysis, built into MIRACLE.

UV Analysis for Styrene Monomer

UV spectrophotometry is becoming an important part of tank-cleaning verification. MIRACLE brings standard graphs and your own readings into the planning workflow, alongside the cargo and cleaning procedure.

Execute

Carry out the cleaning procedure for the cargo transition.

Measure

Add the UV-spectrophotometer reading from the washing-water sample in MIRACLE.

Interpret

Compare the reading with the relevant standard and assess whether further washing may be needed.

A built-in Tank Cleaning Compendium

Build and maintain operational knowledge.

MIRACLE Tank Cleaning Compendium with search and tank-cleaning knowledge topics
The Compendium is part of the workflow. Relevant knowledge is linked directly from the work you are doing in MIRACLE.

Give new crew members a structured foundation and help experienced teams refresh specialist tank-cleaning knowledge. The Compendium keeps it available across your fleet.

Questions and answers

Frequently asked questions about MIRACLE.

What is MIRACLE?

MIRACLE is a platform for cargo handling and tank cleaning on chemical and oil tankers. It holds cargo specifications, acceptance and compatibility checks, regulatory and safety data and detailed cleaning procedures, and it generates the Tank Cleaning Plan for a specific cargo transition.

Who works with MIRACLE?

Chartering and operations teams ashore, superintendents and crews on board. Columbia Shipmanagement was one of the first companies on MIRACLE and has worked with it since the early 2000s.

How is MIRACLE different from a cargo database?

A database answers what a cargo is. MIRACLE also answers how to prepare the tanks for it: the cleaning procedure with method, sequence, medium, temperature, cleaner and dosage for the specific transition, and the finished plan the crew works from.

Which cleanliness standards does MIRACLE cover?

All four INTERTANKO standards: Visually Clean, Water-White, High Purity and Ultra-High Purity. ChemServe is the only company with reliable cleaning recipes for the two high-purity standards.

Can MIRACLE be used on board?

Yes. MIRACLE SHIP gives crews access to the same platform as the office. In PREMIUM the ship application is offline-capable, and notes stay synchronised between office and vessel.

What is the difference between BASIC and PREMIUM?

BASIC covers the cargo reference, acceptance and compatibility checks, regulatory and safety data, the cleaning procedures, the Tank Cleaning Compendium, the Troubleshooting module, the plan generator and Excel export. PREMIUM adds company notes and annotations, your own Excel plan templates, expert online trainings, the offline-capable ship application, synchronised notes and SDS Radar.

Can MIRACLE produce plans in our own Excel format?

Yes. Every Tank Cleaning Plan exports to Excel. In PREMIUM you upload the Excel sheet your company already works with, and MIRACLE fills it with the plan data.

Is there an API?

Yes. The REST API integrates MIRACLE data into your own software. It is available when all offices and vessels use PREMIUM.

How do we start?

With a guided trial on your own cargo transitions. Every trial begins with a personal onboarding, so your team starts with the workflow set up for your operation.
